2006 Orchid Show

	2006 Orchid Show We had again a very successful and satisfying show. We were assigned a new location within the Gallatin Valley Mall. Instead of being in the center of the mall, where people walk by incessantly, the show was at one end of the mall, and had a very pleasant, intimate feeling to it.

	On Friday April 7, we registered 138 plants from 19 exhibitors. On Saturday April 8, we held the ribbon show. Our members are getting more and more experienced and confident, so that when the judging is done, it just feels right. A lot of people walked home with awarded ribbons or rosettes, and the two best plants of the show got brass plaques. On Sunday April 9, the winners of the raffle were drawn. This year's raffle prizes were three gorgeous orchid plants and several orchid pots.

Some Pictures:	We were also very lucky to be able to host three vendors of orchid plants, and one vendor of orchid pots.
	Botanica Orchids from Missoula, Bridger View Orchids from Belgrade and Charlie Spinelli's Greenhouse from Amsterdam came with really interesting orchid plants. They manage to have new choices of plants each year, and they are deeply knowledgeable about their orchids.
	Mardella Brock came with elegant porcelain orchid pots and wallhangers, beautifully displayed with her own orchid plants.
